
Born in Frankfort, Indiana, Michael Lee was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College and had a private practice in Louisiana for over 35 years until retirement. During that time he spent 12 years on the Chiropractic Association board in various positions, including president.
He writes a column for Saddlebag Dispatches, an Oghma Creative Media online magazine, called A Cowboy's Spoon. The article is based on indigenous foods developed by the Native populations. He is also a contributing author to "Roundup" magazine, a Western Writer's of America publication.
Del Rio is the first book in a five book series. His works in progress are: Del Rio's Revenge, Tucker, Del Rio, Raven Spirit, and Black Widow.
Michael also writes short stories. His series, The Sandy Martin Stories, are based on early morning Saturday cowboy movies in the 50’s and 60's, along the lines of My Friend Flicka and Spin and Marty. His stories are based on everyday adventures experienced in ranch life.
In addition to writing, Michael is dedicated to living naturally. You can find him enjoying nature in his home state of Missouri. He is an expert in foraging for food, making medicines, tinctures, and ointments. He a bowyer, crafting bows of native woods. He has two grown children and seven delightful grandchildren.
